Back to School

Every time I hear the phrase "Back to School" I actually imagine Adam Sandler in Billy Madison singing "back to school, back to school, to prove to dad that I'm not a fool."  Funny the things that come to mind.

No matter what comes to mind though, the reality is that the time for Back to School is quickly approaching!  I always give my summer a deadline of August 1st.  I know that August 1st our interns move in and we hit the ground running.  From that point forward it is "game on." 

Currently I am in the mixed emotion stage.  I am mourning the loss of my summer but yet starting to brim with excitement for all that lies ahead.  This year will bring new faces and the return of old ones.  It will bring familiar roles and the challenges of new ones.  It will bring routine and chaos all at the same time. 

I always have mixed emotion about fall start-up.  It's a very exciting time of the year for us, but it is also a very taxing and chaotic time of the year as well.  It's like Christmas time at Bath & Body Works (I worked there for a few years).  It means an influx of people and events and workload and utter chaos at times, but yet there is something so appealing and fun about it.

So ready or not it's back to school time!  "Back to school, back to school, to prove......"
