A little different

I currently work on a staff with seven other people. I love the people I work with! They truly are people of integrity and just mesh well. There is never a dull moment when it comes to our staff.

For the most past, our pastoral staff members are all similar personality types... except me. If you know the true colors personality test (blue=emotional/relational, orange=competitive/outgoing, green=thinking/analyzing, gold=organized), it would be easy to say I am the gold in a staff full of orange. This gives me a different perspective a lot of the time.

There have been quite a few times when we will be discussing things and I am the only one with a different opinion. I must admit that some days it throws me a little off. "Why am I the only one who sees it this way?"

Most days though I embrace the fact that I bring something a little different to the table. I think it's a good thing. I may not be the perspective or idea we go with very often since I am often out numbered, but I still embrace the fact that I can throw a different thought in to the mix. I've learned to be ok with the one who sees things different, and be ok when others don't.

I am grateful for the people I work with. They make me job so much better and enjoyable! I mean who wouldn't want to work with these folks:

Until then......
