Aside from the Gospel....

Other than the fact that students are getting to share their faith in another country, one of my favorite things about students going on international missions trips is how it broadens their perspectives.

Last night I went to the airport to welcome home our last group of missions trips folks from UL. The Greece team arrived at 10:30 last night. Jet lagged, sleepy, and full of stories of the last two weeks, they made it home.

One of the guys came by my office and chatted for a bit this morning. He showed me his list of things that he did for the first time on this trip. He talked about the Greek students he got to share his faith with. He talked about traveling the world. He shared about getting to lead a Bible study on foreign ground.

I love getting to see students broaden the way they see the world, life, and God. It's awesome to see people understand that God is indeed God all over the world. No matter the country, the language, or anything else, we still serve the same God. He's that big.

And all of a sudden people's worlds aren't contained to Louisiana. But they now have food and snacks on other continents that they love and crave. They have friends from other cultures and know phrases in other languages. It's so amazing to see their worlds and their God get bigger as they venture around the globe. I absolutely love it!!!!

Until then......
