Something beautiful

Lately I've been listening to the song "Something Beautiful" by Needtobreathe. I first heard it last year and loved it. Lately there is one part of the lyrics that really catches me. Here are the lyrics:

So the part that gets me is in the chorus where it says "I know that I'm in reach, cause I am down on my knees, waiting for something beautiful." It makes me wonder if I am in reach. Am I constantly putting myself within reach of God? Or do I only get on my knees when I feel like it? Really we should be in reach all the time, He's reaching out it's just a matter of if we are willing to be touched by Something Beautiful.
