Full Evening

I must admit that when I think of water aerobics, this too is what I think of:


However I must also admit that I love water aerobics!!!! Love!! Love!! Love it!! I went a few times last fall, but then things got cray and I wasn't able to go. Today I made my re-entry to water aerobics! And it was fabulous! It was only thirty minutes, but I could definitely feel the burn. And it's in the water, which I love to be in the water. So I am in full support of water aerobics, even if people generally mock it and think it is just for old ladies.

After water aerobics this afternoon, I came home, ate a sandwich, drank a cup of tea, and then headed outside to help a housemate do yard work at Cafe Chi Alpha. We spent about 2.5 hours in the yard. Edging, raking leaves, pulling weeds, trimming bushes, blowing, and cleaning it all up. By the end I was covered in dirt and sweat and was tired!

However I still pushed to run after we came in from the yard. I know that if I am going to commit to running and really try for a 5k, then there will be days in the next two months where I am tired and don't feel like running. But on those days I am going to have to push through and run anyway. So that's what I did tonight. I did the same almost mile that I've done the last three nights, but it was definitely harder tonight than it has been. There was a moment or two where I really wanted to quit, but I pushed. I'm really glad I pushed, but I am for sure worn out now.

I must say though, I love ending the day and feeling exhausted because I've done something. I like using all that I can of myself in a day and going to bed knowing I gave my all. Whether that be in work or play or just pushing myself to my limits. It feels good!!!
