Running with God

Two weeks ago (before the horrid sinus infection) I began getting up early in the morning (I did it once) to take a walk with God. It was an awesome and sweet time. I put some worship music on my ipod and walked and prayed. I think most of it was just praising God and it was so great. My route took me out to the apartment complex where I lead a lifegroup. I went out there specifically to walk around and pray for our girls and our struggling group. It was such a sweet time and amazing way to start off my day. I then made it home in time for morning house devotionals at 7:30. It was great!

This week I have not been so great at getting up early, so last night I went for a run/walk in the evening with God. Again such a sweet time. I think I did enjoy the morning session better than the evening, but I'll take what I can get. Still it was such a refreshing time with God. And again I went and prayed for the apartment complex.

I'm excited about heading out with God again this evening. Wednesdays are my seriously early days and I have to be at work at 7:00, so a morning time is out of the question. But this evening you will definitely find me out pounding the pavement with God! Until then......

Great time to be "With Him". I found my MOST earnest prayer though was while running marathons---"PLEASE GOD-JUST SHOW ME THE FINISH LINE!" That is sort of apropro for life-isn't it?
