Today was a fabulous day and not just weather wise. I slept in a bit. Then got up and toured my friend's office where she works. We then proceeded to Chick-Fil-A for lunch with her sister and nephew. After lunch we wandered about a jewelry store for a bit looking for a wedding band for Katie (I wanted to buy something!!! I heart diamonds!!!). After lunch Katie went back to work so I went home with her sister to paint nails and watch 'The Wedding Planner' which is one of my all time favorite movies.
After the movie Katie and I went to pick up her fiance's Porsche and take it for a ride with the top down in the gorgeous eighty-something degree weather! Fabulous! We rode on back to the house and cooked up some yummy dinner for my support raising dinner that she hosted tonight. There was one couple and two other guys (they're both married, but their wives couldn't make it)that came to dinner. One of the guys is from Zimbabwe and so it was like talking to someone from home (South Africa home of course) for a while. It was so great! And the other guy loved politics and so we talked South African and Zimbabwean politics for a while. It was a great dinner and I think they are both interested in partnering with me on my support team. I love getting to share about what I do! It's great!
Tomorrow is promising to be another great day. We're going to the children's museum for a bit tomorrow and then Katie's mom is coming into town and she's joining us for dinner. I'm excited! I love Katie's family. They're awesome!
So in random thought, I have never lived in a house with wireless internet. But I find that I blog more when I am staying somewhere with wireless. So who knows when I make the move to Lafayette in a couple of weeks, maybe my blogging will increase due to wireless internet in the house. Until then ......
