So today I did put about 800 miles on my car and drove for thirteen hours straight. I mean I did have to stop a time or two and eat, gas up the car, and take a bathroom break.
I'm in Indianapolis, IN until Sunday for a support raising dinner, wedding shower, bachelorette party, and time with one of my best friends from high school. My awesome friend Katie is getting married in September and so I get to make the cross country trek twice in a short span. I must say though it is well worth it to get to hang out with Katie. She's probably one of my funniest friends and I love her dearly. She's strong, optimistic, driven, hilarious, and just an awesome person. I'm super excited about getting to hang out with her and about getting to be in her wedding in September. Great times!
I must say I really enjoyed the drive today. Yes it was thirteen hours by myself, but it was good. I bought one of those old-school cassette tapes that has a cord you can attach to a portable cd player or now days yours iPod so you can broadcast it throughout your car speakers. I must say this may have been the best $10 investment possible for this trip. Yes it's old-school and makes me laugh, but I love that I don't have to surf stations or even worry about the static that often accompanies and iTrip. So all you iTrip fans currently laughing at my cassette-get-up, eat your static filled hearts out at my static free day of music that spanned multiple states and many many many hours!

So yeah, I had great weather, good roads, amazing jam sessions, an ice-chest of diet coke, and a good time today. I like to travel and I like to drive. I even enjoy a long trek by myself. I'm pretty good company!
So far my finale on this post, I think I will leave you with some of my favorite artist to jam out with in the car:
1. Matchbox Twenty
2. Michale Buble
3. Hillsongs United
4. Phillips, Craig, & Dean (really just the song "When God Ran"... amazing!!!!)
5. Rita Springer
6. a little High School Musical
7. Jessica Simpson
8. Casting Crowns
9. Passion Worship Band
10. Hootie & the Blowfish
Ok so pretty much I love to jam to anything that comes on my iPod. But really think those may have been the artist I sang the loudest to compelete with dance moves while driving. I'm sure there were many laughing truckers on the road today! Until then ......

That sounds like fun! I also have the cassette adapter, it's perfect. After witnessing the unreliability of many an iTrip, I feel no remorse for continuing to be un-advanced with my cassette!
