As soon as I left Aveda I headed home to get ready and then rushed to Baton Rouge to indulge in an evening with old friends. There were eight of us who were involved in Chi Alpha at Louisiana Tech (plus one brought his fiance) all got together for dinner. It was soooooo great to see everyone! I don't know why we haven't done this yet or why we don't do this. Sad that it took a friend from out of state coming in to get us all together. We must try to do this more!
We had dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen. I highly recommend it!!! We ate and caught up on lives. After dinner we found a Starbucks and all sat around the table and told old stories. We laughed, we reminisced, we made fun of each other, it was fabulous!!
I miss these dear friends. They hold so many memories and so much of my past. Some have known me since my freshman year of Chi Alpha. Some went to Africa with me for the first time. Some were in my lifegroup. Some I was in lifegroup with. Some were part of the "Party Crew" with me. Some I did three years of student leadership along side of. Some are now a part of my monthly financial support team as I reach students. And they all hold special places in my heart and my memory!
Here is our only picture from the other night (sorry for the bad quality, but a bad picture is better than no picture):

This weekend has me even more ready for the Tech Chi Alpha reunion in September. This group of Chi Alpha people played such an intricate and influential role in my life. I am who I am today because of the love of God they showed me and the way they pushed me to know God better and fully follow Him.
Until then......
