I spent the better part of today doing some handy-work and painting around my house. One of my student leaders had come over to help me paint. We had been working for about three hours when we took a break to grab a coke and let part of the room dry before we went further.
We left the house and went to the Circle K to get a "thirst buster." As I was fixing my drink, I noticed that part of my vision was starting to get fuzzy. It was kind of like I starred at a bright light and then had "blind spot" from the light.
As I checked out and drove home, I kept blinking thinking that it would go away; however it just kept getting worse. The only other times this has happened was right before the onset of a migraine. When we got home a took some pain medicine and waited for it to kick in. Instead of getting better, it kept getting worse.
As I was about to start trying to paint again, I paused and prayed. I asked God to touch my body and heal me. Migraine or not God is bigger and can do anything. Since the issue was not getting better but a little worse in fact it had me worried. I simply prayed and asked God to take care of it. I said Amen, took a deep breath, opened my eyes, and it was better. In just a few seconds my vision was completely back to normal. I believe God healed me. I believe that just as His Word says, He indeed heals.
It made me think of a song that we sing in worship from time to time. It's called "Healer." In fact we sang it this past Thursday night at Chi Alpha. The chorus says: "I believe that You're my Healer. I believe You are all I need. I believe You're my Portion. I believe that You're more than enough for me. Jesus, You're all I need." Here is the whole song:
I for one believe that God does heal. I believe that He is big enough and more than enough. I believe He is all that I need.
Until then......

I believe He healed you too! It's exciting and amazing to see Him take care of us.
