Words cannot describe

I currently work for Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Chi Alpha is a missions organization on college campuses around the world. I first got involved with Chi Alpha as a freshman at Louisiana Tech University.

Missionaries working with Chi Alpha are called "campus pastors." They are pastors with the Assemblies of God and are commissioned as missionaries to secular college campuses. While I was at LA Tech my campus pastors were Greg and Angie Pampell. Words cannot even begin to describe the impact that these two have had on my life.

Last Thursday night I was able to go to Ruston and be at the very last LA Tech service with Greg and Angie as the campus pastors. After over a decade at LA Tech they have resigned and are moving to South Africa to pioneer Chi Alpha there. This makes me happy because I will be moving to South Africa to work with them shortly after they move.

I arrived at LA Tech as a freshman who had grown up in church and had a solid relationship with God. I was looking for an even deeper relationship with God and got involved with Chi Alpha. Over the last nine years Greg and Angie have taken the spot of having the greatest influence in my life out of anyone else I know outside my family. They challenged me, taught me, helped me grow, poured into me, lead me, and erased all boundaries I ever had for myself and God. They taught me to devote my entire life to God and not hold anything back. They taught me to give to others everything that God has given me. They showed me that anything is possible with God. They proved that life with God is exciting and worth every single hard moment that it brings and that ultimately God is in control and does know best. They introduced me to the country that I want to spend the rest of my life in. They gave me ownership in a ministry that God has called me to give my life to.

The Pampells have been my pastors, my mentors, and ultimately my friends. Words cannot describe everything they have done for me and the influence they have had in my life. I am grateful for campus pastors who cared and for friends still walking this journey of life with me. They truly are some of the most amazing people I know and I am dearly grateful to have them in my life!

(You would think that loving folks that much would mean I would have a picture of the three of us, but I don't. So here's individual pics of me and the Pampells)

Until then......
