Although I can be the life of the party and loud at times, I am actually a quiet person. I like to respect others and the fact that I am sharing a space with them. I feel that I am generally respectful of other people.
One of my biggest pet peeves is people who are not respectful of people around them. In coffee shops, it irks me when people sit and talk loud... especially on the phone or skype or something. I get irritated when people blare their music (especially in the drive-thru of Taco Bell at 2:00am.... I live next door to Taco Bell).
It also irks me when someone in a room full of people feel the need to just start playing music. I can see if people were hanging out and someone suggested music. I can see if it is a common decision. But it irks me so bad when someone comes in to a room and decides to just start playing music. Maybe we don't want music. Maybe we like the calm quiet. Maybe we don't like the music you have taken upon yourself to select.
Most people may not ever experience this type of thing, but I live in a house with 17 other people. This happens often. And it irks me.
