I'm a girl, that doesn't make me stupid

There are few things in life that really aggravate me. Uncleanliness is one of them. People who are inconsiderate of those around them is another. People who think they know so much or feel they are superior than others, also aggravates me.

What is aggravating me at the moment is guys who think that girls are incapable of doing things on their own. As I was sitting in my kitchen tonight, watching a friend and a few housemates try to change a bicycle tire, two different guys attempted to come to the rescue. The first was easily deterred when the girls said, "no thanks we've got it."

The other however stood and looked over the girls shoulders and made comments the rest of the time. Of course because he is of the male species he knows more than the girls. And of course they can't finish the project on their own and need him to stand and offer his opinion and condescending remarks.... and of course I am being sarcastic!

This reminds me of one of my favorite Sara Bareilles songs, "King of Anything".
It says:
"Keep drinking coffee, stare me down across the table
While I look outside
So many things I’d say if only I were able
But I just keep quiet and count the cars that pass by

You’ve got opinions, man
We’re all entitled to ‘em, but I never asked
So let me thank you for your time, and try not to waste anymore of mine
And get out of here fast

I hate to break it to you babe, but I’m not drowning
There’s no one here to save"

Until then......

LOVE THAT SONG! The day of the incapable Southern Belle is gone---just look at all that Scarlett did!
