Today feels like demolition day around the cafe. This morning we ripped the carpet out of our sanctuary area because we are getting new carpet next Tuesday. Now we are about to go box up the library at the Chi Alpha house so that we can rip out one of the walls of shelving and the ceiling. The ceiling is in desperate need of being redone and the books are all moving to the cafe where a new library will be built in the spring.
It makes me sad to see the library go because it's a nice place of quiet and solitude at times. Generally if you're in the library (it's just a small room in the house with tons and tons of books) then no one will bother you. It's nice when you live with 16 other people..... soon to be 18.
Life in Chi Alpha. It's definitely has it's interesting moments (i.e. ripping out carpets and ceilings and living with 18 people). But it sure is a great ride!!!!
