Yesterday I was thinking about all the random things that I've purchased for our ministry this week (as in I went with a Chi Alpha check to purchase it). It started on Tuesday when I went to Office Depot and purchased 98 bottle of glue, 5 packs of glue sticks, and 4 packs of binder divider tabs. One of my colleagues went to Office Depot before me and bought 20 bottles of glue. So now sitting beside my desk are two bags with 118 bottles of glue. All of this was purchased for about $15.00. Yep! $15.00.
See Homecoming is coming up next week and we compete in the parade float competition. In order to make the float beautiful we use lots of glitter. And in order to get glitter on a float, you use lots of glue. And since Office Depot had this phenomenal sale of bottle of glue for on $0.10 we bought them out!! We may not use all the glue this year, but we'll be prepared for next year too then.
I also went to Sam's yesterday and bought 18 binders and 12 cases of water. The randomocity of purchases for a student ministry always makes me laugh. We use all of these things in various ways, but still when you look at it in a week, it just makes you laugh! I also bought a ton of paint and metallic paints, etc. Fun times!!
In other thoughts, I'm heading up to the 318 area tonight. One of my friends wants to see a West Monroe football game, so we're heading up for that tonight and then spending the weekend with my family. North Louisiana... oh how I've missed thee!!!
