Last week I was on the road and out of town for a Campus Ministers Conference. Nearly five-hundred of our Chi Alpha staff from across the nation, gathered in Phoenix, AZ for a conference on evangelism and reaching today's university students.
Three other Chi Alpha ladies from Louisiana and myself got in the car and started our 3,000 round trip mile journey. CMC was a combination of work conference and vacation. We stayed in the Arizona Grand Resort and it was fabulous!!!! There were pools everywhere and even a small water park on the grounds. Our speakers were phenomenal and lazy river was my favorite part of the park!
We came back refreshed, wishing we could have stayed, and full of knowledge. But still after 3,000 miles across the southwest part of America (and a small detour in to Mexico) it was good to be home.
Monday night was my first meal with my housemates in almost two weeks. It was so great to see them all again and share a meal. This week has been jam packed in preparation of our first leadership retreat that we have this weekend. I am soooooo excited!! It will be great to have all of our student leaders together again. And this is my first chance to connect and share my heart with the area of leadership that I am overseeing this year. I've been compiling thoughts and ideas and folders for a few days now and can't wait for it all!! Yay!!!!!
I'll get pictures up next week from our gorgeous drive across the midwest! Until then......
