This week has been spring break for our students so we've been doing some repairs and such around all the Chi Alpha property. Monday proved to be lawn care day. One of the other interns and I did yard work all day. We raked, mowed, weed-eated, cleaned gutters, and dug leaves out of the fish pond.
Tuesday we started painting on one of the houses. We did the entire carport, the back door frame, and the attic vent and some random post. Yesterday seemed to be the most beastly day. We scrapped down and repainted the underside of the front porch on the house. I can't even explain how much better it looks. But talk about sore! As today goes on my shoulders and neck are getting more and more sore! It's a good sore though, as in I feel accomplished and worn out from hard work. (I could however do without all the paint that won't come off my skin or out of my hair!)
Today is back in the office and we're off tomorrow. As soon as the clock hits 4:00pm today I'm heading north! I am giddy about going home!!!! I have a Chili's date scheduled tonight with two of my best friends. Lots of food plans with my family. Some much needed hang out time with dear friends. Coffee with folks. And I get to see my best friend's three week old twin boys!!!!!!! I can't not wait to go!! Only two more hours and I'm on the road!
