As I was labeling this post I thought about one of the restaurants near my apartment in South Africa, which was oddly enough named "Something Fishy." That however has nothing to do with why I started this post.
The real reason I started this post is that last week my office mate and I got some fish. We got two beta fish. One is blue and is a regular beta. His name is 'Together.' When we first talked about getting a fish we agreed we should get one and then we could name it together. Then we laughed and looked at each other and both said, "no, his name will be Together." He lives on the right side of the tank. (it is a dual chamber tank with a dividing wall so the fish can't get to each other and fight)
Our other fish is a red Crowntail Beta. His name is 'Mo,' which is short for 'Mo money, Mo problems.' This was a sort of rap song a few years ago and somehow while we stood in the Wal-Mart check out line this name came up. Once we discovered that the Crowntail was $2 more than the regular Beta, we decided 'Mo' was a perfect name for our fish.
