One thing that has not changed much for me over the years (with the exception of my time in South Africa)is that I spend New Year's with a lot of other Chi Alpha people. Each year we have a conference over the New Year's holiday. This year I spent the time in Texas with over 630 other Chi Alphans! It was a phenomenal conference.
The speakers were amazing and the worship phenomenal. I love these types of things in Chi Alpha. It's a chance to see so many young people finding more of God, surrendering their lives to Him, and finding who they are and what He as created them for. It is simply amazing!
I had the chance to speak in a few different sessions. I had two session to speak about a career in Chi Alpha and the internship program. And then I had two sessions about giving a year over seas. All four went really well and I got to talk to students about both outside of the sessions as well.
Throughout the five days we saw students get saved, students get baptized in the Holy Spirit, and students really change the way they look at their lives and their relationships with God. Salt (the name of the conference) is definitely one of the biggest highlights of the year! I absolutely love it!!!!! And already I can't wait for next year!!! Some things never change! Until then......
ohhhh..... and in big news.... I passed my credentialing test with the Assemblies of God yesterday!!! I found out today that I made a 97 on my test!!! I was shocked to say the least! Now I just have to finish this internship in May and I am a certified minister with the AG.... Reverend Miranda Taylor!
