As I stood and watched these fifteen students step into the pool, make their declaration of faith, and be baptized it almost brought tears to my eyes. And it definitely brought a massive grin to my face. Each time a student was baptized, as they climbed out of the pool, the rest of students would bust into song and sing "I have decided to follow Jesus. No turning back. No turning back." It was moving, inspiring, and just makes me smile. Absolutely awesome!
Here are a few pictures from the Baptism:
This is Krystal (in the gray shirt). At the 8pm service right before Baptisms, Krystal began a relationship with Jesus and was ecstatic to be able to get baptized that very night. Here she is with her lifegroup leaders and some fellow members. It's pretty much a family picture!

This is Phu. Phu is a freshman and the younger brother of one of our student leaders. When Phu started the year he didn't want much to do with Chi Alpha or Jesus. However as time progressed and some guys loved on him, he came to start a relationship with Jesus. Yay!

This is Dustin. Dustin is involved with one of our guys lifegroups and serves as the current SGA (student government association) president for the university. SGA doesn't make Dustin special, but it's great to know that we're reaching students all over campus and that God is doing something big here!

These are the fifteen students who got baptized the other night, plus Eric and Kelsey who did the baptizing. It makes my face and my heart smile really really big!!

As I sat in church this Sunday, they were also doing baptisms. Again it made me smile. I didn't know they were doing baptisms this Sunday and I don't know the guy at all, but it still makes me smile inside and out. Yay for life in Christ! Yay for making a public declaration of faith! Yay for Baptisms!!
Until then......

Good Post-Now begins the mentoring and growth stage. I am still growing and it has been a LONG time since I took that step. I am so Blessed the He continues to pull me and show me WHO HE IS but it all starts with that first step!
