Mardi Gras!!!!

One of the highlights of every year for me is Mardi Gras. Now for me it's not the same excitement as it is for most Louisiana natives. My favorite part of Mardi Gras is what we call MGO (Mardi Gras Outreach).

Since Louisiana universities get time off for Mardi Gras, we try to redeem such a crazy tome, by sending our students in teams to Texas to work with Chi Alphas there for five or six days. This year there were over 100 people participating in MGO.

For the second year in a row, I ventured to Stephenville, TX to Tarleton State University with a group. This year I took eight students with me.

We did everything from cleaning the church, performing a human video at church, outreach and evangelism on campus, contact table on campus, taught a leadership class, and hosted multiple dorm outreach events. Needless to say by the end of our time we were completely worn out but incredibly sad to leave. Not only did our team develop deep bonds with one another, but we also bond a lot with the students at Tarleton that we were working with.

Overall we had a fantastic trip! Our team was fabulous and the group we went to serve is absolutely phenomenal! Here are just a few pics from the trip:

Until then......
