The Calm Before the Storm

This week has kind of been the calm before the storm for us. In my head summer officially ended this past Monday. Monday was the date I had set to hit the ground running. Then this coming Monday is when chaos (aka the storm, aka Fall Start-up) really kicks off. From this past Monday until about mid-September, we have some type of event every single day. Some of those days are office days, but it's working non the less.

I love Fall Start-up time. It's so busy and fun and such a crucial time for campus ministry. This week my desk has been a wreck as I've been preparing for things. And in the evenings I've been working around the house in preparation for the eighteen people who will be living there this fall. (As of Monday I officially took charge of the Chi Alpha house.. I'm the "governor")

This week has allowed me to be a little more laid back even though I've accomplished a lot. The pressure isn't quite on yet, but it will be Monday! Bring it Fall Start-up! I'm ready!!

(and I even have this awesome crab claw pen that one of my housemates brought me from Balitmore! I've been using it all day and it's fabulous!!!)

Until then......
