I'm a pastor....... "Don't Stop Believing......."

I'm currently sitting in my favorite coffee shop in Lafayette working on a sermon for tonight. (For some reason I am having sermon-putting-together-block in my office) As I sat down at my table and began to pull out all the big huge study books for my sermon, it dawned on me.... I'm a pastor. If someone in here happens to ask me what I'm doing, my response would be "I'm a pastor and I'm preaching tonight." Sometimes I forget that. Especially when I'm in basketball shorts, a t-shirt, no make-up, glasses, and a hat. I look like a college girl. Haha... fooled you, I'm a pastor.

Our series for this summer is "Journey." We're talking about different people in the Bible and the journeys that they were on, our own journeys, and how they all tie together. When I think of journey, two things come to mind: road trips and "Don't Stop Believing." I so badly want to work "Don't Stop Believing" (a popular song by the band Journey) in to my message tonight. I think it would be too fun and I don't know that I can resist the urge. One of our students is preaching next week and he told me that if I didn't use it, he would. I don't know if I can pass up the opportunity though!!

Until then......

This should be our mantra for life-it applies to every season and every step. My devotional today was on that very subject-my prayer time revolved around it---SO I GET IT GOD---Don't Stop Believing-after all HE IS A MIGHTY GOD and NOTHING is impossible to Him!

Zach was texting me last night & said he went to tnl & that you preached. Apparently, he really liked what you preached on because in his text he said, "Miranda preached tonight and it was really good!!" ...taken straight from the text message. haha
keep it up, friend.
