A Grateful Song I Sing

I am highly looking forward to this weekend, for the simple fact that I am off! Yes, yes, yes indeed! I have an entire weekend off and even took off this coming Monday. That means from 4pm today until about 4pm on Monday, I am off!!!

I kept telling one of our iterns at the beginning of this semester to not underestimate the Spring. We always talk about how busy the fall is, but I think the spring semester just might be worse. As of right now our staff has only had one day off in the last six weeks. One day! Now you see why I am ridiculously excited about this weekend!!

Even in the insanity and craziness of it all, I wouldn't trade this job and life for anything else!!!!!!

For instance last weekend we hosted a statewide leadership conference on Saturday and Sunday. This too is one of my favorite events of the year. It's a short conference, but jam packed full of information and so much potential! So Saturday was my birthday and what better way to spend it then getting to do what I love with so many amazing people.

Our guest speaker for the weekend kept making comments to me about having to be there on my birthday and way to serve and such. But really it was a fabulous birthday. I love getting to do what I do and it really was a fabulous day!

I am grateful for the 27 years that God has blessed me with thus far. It is with a truly grateful heart that I thank God for an abundant life and look forward to so much more with Him! Even in worship on Saturday night I was overwhelmed with gratefulness and couldn't hold back the tears as I reflected on the life that God has given me. It's been a phenomenal 27 years, I am indeed grateful!!

"I will not forget You are my God, my King
And with a thankful heart I bring my offering
And my sacrifice is not what You can give
But what I alone can give to You

A grateful heart I give, A thankful prayer I pray,
A wild dance I dance before You
A loud song I sing, A huge bell I ring,
A life of praise I live before You"

Until then......
