Carrot Cake & Sunset

It really is the little things in life that I enjoy the most. Yesterday I was craving some carrot cake and happen to know that my local Albertson's sells carrot cake by the slice in the bakery. So I decided it was time for carrot cake and the sunset.

I've done this once before and I'm becoming a huge fan. I got my carrot cake and some stuff I've been reading and headed to the boat launch on the river and enjoyed the sunset. It's so nice and quiet and peaceful. I ate, read, and watched the sun disappear over the tress. And the boat launch in only 5 minutes from my house. Such a great way to end an evening!

I also picked back up running last night after a 4 week illness break. It felt so good to be back out at it again! I fear today may be a slacking day. The weather is miserable and I am fighting the urge to do absolutely nothing right now. I should be writing a sermon and prepping for leadership class I have to teach this week. Instead I'm sitting in the library, listening to the rain, drinking tea, and blog hopping. I desire to do nothing more! Until then......
