Tears of Exhaustion

I was hoping to have pictures of a completely finished bathroom this morning. More than that I was hoping to have a completely finished bathroom. However there are still a few minor things I need to tackle this evening after work and I'll be done. I did get the cabinets built and installed and one coat of paint on them. Tonight I'll put on a second coat, lay the trim around the baseboards, do some touch up painting, and hang a mirror. That shouldn't take all night, right??

Being the obsessed person that I can be at times, I wanted to work non-stop and get this whole project done. I worked all through Friday night and then basically took a nap and started again. Working so much also made me not want to stop and eat. So a lack of sleep and food paired with crazy manual work, made for exhaustion on Sunday afternoon. I had all my boards cut and ready to put the cabinets together when I finally took a break to eat. I then sat on my living room floor almost in tears because I was so exhausted and had so much more to do. I think if I hadn't been so tired I would have worked faster and finished everything last night. Finally somewhere around 11pm last night I had to make myself put the lid on the paint can and tell myself that it is ok to need another evening to finish.

So here I am today back in the office. (Wearing a dress and make up and fixed hair I might add.... after a few days of being covered in paint and dirt and sweat and so on, I needed to look like a girl again) Sore all over and tired, but giddy at how great my bathroom looks and how little I have left to do. I'm even thinking about a break at the pool after work and then back to the bathroom!
