Hit the ground running

I meant to hit the ground running this morning and use my five hours in the office for productiveness! I have building duty at the Cafe today and so I have five hours to be in the office, but nothing to actually have to do. This means I have five hours that I should have been working on my two sermons for this week, the book I need to read, lifegroup lesson, and my brother's wedding.

However I instead found a blog that I backtracked and read every entry since last May. I hate when I get sucked into a blog and read and cry and read and cry. I found a blog that was the story of a family whose 15 month old was diagnosed with cancer last March. They blogged their journey all the way and at one point it looked like the little girl would win the battle. However things took a turn and they are currently at home trying to keep her comfortable until she passes. I found myself sitting at my desk with tears uncontrollably rolling down my cheeks as I continued to read. My heart aches for this family whom I have never met. Simply my heart aches.

On a better note, I do at least have everything written out for my brother's wedding. It is all printed, laminated, and ready to be put in my binder. Because the wedding is on the beach and beaches are rather windy, I laminated my pages so they won't flap in the wind so much! I'm so excited to get to officiate my brother's wedding. It means a lot to me and I am honored that they would let me officiate. Let's just hope I don't mess it up and that I can make it through without crying!!



This pic of of the pages of the ceremony currently sitting on my desk! So excited!!!! T-minus 148.5 hours until the ceremony begins!!! (that's 6 days if you don't want to do the math!) and about 120.5 hours until I'm on the beach! Of course this whole weekend is about my brother and his fiance starting their lives together.... however the idea of being at the beach for a few days is a massive bonus for me!!!!
