My last post mentioned what a busy week we had last week. Even since that post there has been more accomplished. By Saturday night I had finished my second credentialing class (yes you can do your happy dance now for me!!), cooked South African food for international night, had a lifegroup sleepover, ran the world's largest Louisiana State flag before the UL home game against North Texas, handed out footballs to children during the 4th quarter, and cheered the Cajuns on to victory!! It was a full week/weekend!
This morning in staff prayer we were asked to rate our lives at the moment. We were told on a scale of 1 - 10 including spiritual, emotional, and physical, what would we rank our lives. I had to go with an 8! (as did three other staff members)
I had coffee with a friend on Saturday who happened to be in town visiting. We had a great time and some awesome conversation. In that conversation I was talking about the busyness of the week and how it really had been a lot of over time this week. However I can easily say that at the end of it all, it was an amazing week! I had no complaints at all for the week. I love my job and I love the privilege of getting to do what I do. It may mean crazy weeks, but I wouldn't trade this job for anything. I think when you can hit the end of a 75 hour work week and still love everything about your job that you must be in the right field. Until then ......
