I figured with the craziness of this week, I should post now or you may not hear from me for another week. Yesterday seemed to be a bit of a marathon day. We started with staff prayer at 8:00 and the staff meeting at 9:00. Staff meeting lasted until our Learning Party started at 10:30 which then lasted until 5:00pm. Good news about Learning Party though is that I rocked my first preaching lab assignment. It was a small assignment, but I did get a perfect score. Big Yay!!
After Learning Party, I rushed to prep for lifegroup then headed to water aerobics at 5:30. After water aerobics was a finish up prep for lifegroup, then dinner, then knocking on doors inviting people to lifegroup, then lifegroup. I finally returned home around 10:00pm. I ate a snack worked on a project and then headed to bed. Today feels like it will too be a marathon. And tomorrow as well.
It's a busy week with Chi Alpha. We have a guest speaker (yay for Curt Harlow!!) coming int today to do a ton of events on campus this week. He comes in today and will fly out on Friday and we have him scheduled to do 8 events in those couple of days. It's a busy week but it's so exciting. I love seeing what God is doing on campus and in the lives of students. It's also cool to see what He is doing in our own lives as the staff. It's great! I love my job!!
To add to the busyness of this week is the fact that I am leaving town Wednesday evening to make a trip to Indiana. One of my favorite people in the world is getting married this weekend. This weekend I will participate in "Katie & Cole: The Wedding!"
If you've ever seen the movie 'Elizabethtown' then you may remember the scenes in the hotel where there was a wedding taking place. Basically the entire week leading up to the wedding ceremony was a massive hang out time/party with all the friends of the bride and groom. There were posters and balloons and shirts and so much more proclaiming "Chuck & Cindy: The Wedding!" This week/weekend will be very much like that for my friend's wedding so we have deemed it "Katie & Cole: The Wedding!" I'm ridiculously excited for it.
Katie has been one of my best friends since our freshman year in high school. It's awesome to see her take this next step in life and so incredible that I get to stand by her while she does it. And I'm excited to get to spend the few days before celebrating with her. Yay for "Katie & Cole: The Wedding!" It's going to be great!!! Now if only I can get all my stuff (including a bride's maid dress) in my backpack and carry on bag, life will be good! Until then ......
