Peanut Butter and Grapes

So seriously I just ate a peanut butter sandwich with grapes. That's like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, right??

So where do I even begin about this week? Wow!! It's been a jam packed and amazing week. Monday and Tuesday was Internship Orientation. And then Wednesday began work for us. Right now there aren't many students around, so it's mostly study time in the office for this week. I'm thinking this week is going to spoil me. Already in the two days in the office I have read a book, read chapters in another book, written a book report, and done a exegesis study on the book of James. I feel accomplished and that's only in two days. I've also hung blinds, began to navigate myself around Lafayette, written and mailed my newsletter, and got completely settled in my room. Yay for productivity. Now hopefully I can keep up my productivity once the students arrive.

Our student leaders will arrive tomorrow and we'll head out for an annual leadership retreat. I'm excited to get to meet more of our leaders and so things to really kick off. I am enjoying all the extra study time thus far, but I'm ready for all the craziness to start!!!

I also took a walk around campus today. It's really a pretty campus. Complete with a swamp in the middle of it. It's the only campus in America with a swamp on it. How much fun is that? And yes it does have alligators. But as I walking I was having a chat with God. We talked about this year and all the things there are to learn. I told God that I have huge expectations for this year. I think this year is going to be a year of refining and growth and learning and change and pouring out. I'm excited about the refining. I know it's going to be hard and I may be whistling a different tune in a few months, but for now I'm seriously excited. That's all I can say is I'm excited. I think it's going to be a great year!!! Bring it!!! Until then ......
