The Holy Spirit Helps

So Jesus and I have been hanging out in the past week. And in this hanging-out-ness He's been showing me some things in my self that I need to change. Some things with my pride and arrogance and so on.

So in this hanging out and Jesus asking me to change things I came to a realization. The realization is that the sinful nature is always in us. Somethings about us never change, they are always there. The difference is that when we are staying close to Jesus, the Holy Spirit is able to suppress the things that should not be there.

For instance my pride and arrogance may never leave me, but when I allow the Holy Spirit to dwell in me and reign over my life, the pride and arrogance are suppressed and don't show as much. However if I am not walking closely with Jesus then those things are able to rise up and come out way more than they should. We are called to walk closely with Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to reign in our lives. If we do adhere to this, then it really is Jesus living in and through us. How awesome of a concept is that!?!

I must say it's hard realizing things about yourself that you need to change, but it's awesome to see the person you can be if you just let Jesus in. I love living life with Jesus, it makes me and more importantly the world a better place!
